Introduction The University offers a Masters Degree in Environmental, Safety and Health Management. Since its inception in 1994, the Masters program has graduated over 500 students. This program is offered On-line, and currently has students from nearly 30 states participating and several foreign countries.
The program is accredited by the Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC). This accreditation indicates the program has been found to have the curriculum, faculty, facilities, and institutional support necessary to provide quality environmental health science and protection education. Students graduating from accredited programs are eligible to participate in the Commission Officer Student Extern Training Program (COSTEP) of the U. S. Public Health Service.
Masters Level Certificates were recently added. Designed for students who want to specialize in a particular area, or those who already have a Masters Degree in another discipline, this option allows the student to take 5 courses (15 hours) in a concentrated area. Upon completion of the coursework the student receives a Masters Level certificate in either: Emergency Management, Safety and Health Management, or Environmental Management.
