Introduction Did you know - "RCRA Hazardous Waste Generator Regulations
can actually be utilized to reduce the manufacturers' operating costs,
rather than just being additional overhead tied to traditional
Environmental Compliance Programs."
RCRA Generator Training should provide more than a means to meet the
Annual RCRA Training Requirement specified in 40 CFR regulation. RCRA
Training offered by The University of Findlay goes beyond basic regulatory
requirements. The RCRA Training Programs provided by UF highlight
cost-effective compliance strategies as well as environmental liability
risk management. Training participants will gain knowledge necessary for
performing TSDF audits, calculating risk, as well as negotiating with
state and federal regulators.
The University of Findlay's Training Programs take an extended look at
RCRA hazardous waste management standards and hazardous waste management
programs. Emphasis is placed on reducing the costs of regulatory
compliance while better managing risks of environmental liability.
Participants examine progressive approaches to ever-changing
environmental and professional challenges. Where forward thinking and
innovative concepts are shared in developing necessary planning and
problem solving skills.
Meeting Regulatory Requirements
Large Quantity Generators of hazardous
waste are required to provide Introductory and Annual RCRA Training to
hazardous waste management personnel in accordance with 40 CFR Section
265.16, as per Section 262.34 (a)(4). Small Quantity Generators (SQG s)
of hazardous waste must ensure that employees are thoroughly familiar
with proper hazardous waste management procedures, as per 40 CFR Section
262.34 (d)(5)(iii).
The RCRA Training provided by UF better enables professional
environmental compliance personnel to establish necessary hazardous
waste management training programs for industrial plant personnel at
their facility locations. Training Program Documentation and RCRA
Personnel Training Records are vital in managing both corporate and
personal liability risks in the event of a significant adverse
environmental event. UF Training Programs not only offer RCRA Training
Completion Certificates/Certification, but also provide Continuing
Education Units (CEUs) necessary for professional credentials and
re-certifications.
In-Plant Training and Customization
The RCRA Training Programs offered
by UF can be brought right to your industrial doorstep. The University
of Findlay specializes in providing professional environmental, health
and safety training on-site at industrial plant locations - we bring the
training to you! This is an increasingly attractive training option as
the demand on compliance personnel's time increases along with expenses
associated with business travel.
In addition, all RCRA Training Programs can be customized to meet your
plant-specific needs and individual personnel training needs. Training
manuals, training presentations, and training hours will be created to
the industrial client's specifications. RCRA Training can also be
combined with DOT Training, OSHA Training or other environmental
compliance training, in order to meet multiple regulatory requirements
with one training event at your location.
Open Enrollment Training
RCRA Training offered as Open
Enrollment at The University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, includes Basic
RCRA Generator Training, Annual RCRA Reviews, and Extended or Advanced
RCRA Generator Training. For more information on these Training Courses,

| | RCRA Project Summaries | | Emergency Response, Environmental and OSHA Safety Training | | SEEM developed and continues to deliver a series of environmental, health and safety, emergency response, incident command and industrial/corporate security courses for one of the Big-Three U.S. auto manufacturers. SEEM training teams have trained approximately 3,000 client personnel annually at more than 30 facilities throughout Michigan and Ohio, as well as other states in the Midwest Northeast, and Southeast. SEEM develops the training programs using the companys specific practices, SOPs, Spill Control and Countermeasure Plans and other industry and plant standards. The purpose of the training is to reduce hazardous materials spills, improve overall company compliance with various environmental and OSHA Regulations, and make the corporation a better "corporate citizen". Additionally, SEEM has been an active planner and participant in the firms annual Emergency Response Team (ERT) "Challenge", where ER Teams from various plants come to compete in mock drills that test their knowledge and expertise in applying the training principles to real-life emergency situations. |
