NECO
On behalf of the Northeast Central Ohio Hospital Planning Consortium (NECO), The Akron Regional Hospital Association has provided funding and direction to develop and deliver training under a 3 year Plan Training and Education Program beginning in April 2008.

In 2007, a team consisting of The University of Findlay, Kent State University, and Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine & Pharmacy (NEOUCOM) conducted a training needs assessment of NECO member hospitals by reaching out to the Emergency Preparedness Coordinators at each hospital. The end result was an understanding of the training topics considered to be most important to the hospitals and the method(s) of training most conducive to reaching the hospital staffs.

The assessment provided the foundation for the 3 year plan and specific training courses that will be offered to the NECO region. New courses (many on-line) will be added in the very near future. Visit this website as often as you’d like and be sure to communicate with the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at your hospital to stay informed of upcoming training events.
