Schools and workplaces are seeing an increasing rate of violence. Often, acts of violence result from minor disagreements or misunderstandings. Staff members need to be able to recognize and resolve such conflicts before they get out of hand. Findlay All Hazards has developed a series of interactive video training scenarios that can help your staff learn the skills to manage and de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.
These interactive DVD-based training scenarios offer a 'virtual-reality' type of experience to help trainees improve their conflict resolution skills. In each scenario, the trainee must react to the actors on the screen as he or she would in real life. Through 'video branching', the trainer can adapt the story line to match the trainee's response.
Through the multiple simulations contained on the DVD, trainees can gain an accurate assessment of their strengths and weaknesses in handling crisis situations. An accompanying CD-ROM helps the trainer by offering suggested training techniques, evaluation methods, and the complete Trainer's Manual.
Conflict Resolution Training for College/University Resident Advisors is now available and can be purchased using the links below. Additional training DVDs are under development for K-12 teachers, unarmed campus security and workplace violence issues.

The All Hazards Training Center Management developed and produced an hour long live-action webcast addressing the problem of clandestine methamphetimine (meth) labs. Over 1,000 participants from 48 states and 4 foreign countries participated in the live event.
The complete webcast is now available on CD. It is specifically designed to educate law enforcement officers on the dangers posed by meth labs. It walks the viewer from initial discovery of the clandestine lab through the final cleanup, offering guidelines to follow when encountering and dealing with a meth lab. Pre and post tests are included and indexed to the specific 'chapter' of the CD to which they pertain. This makes it easier to customize a training program for specific content of interest, as an alternative to viewing the entire 1-hr CD at once.
