Disaster Management for School-Based Incidents - Partnering Rural Law Enforcement and the Local School Systems has been developed by The University of Findlay to educate school administrators as well as rural law enforcement personnel on how to effectively respond to an emergency at a school. School staff and administrators must work with emergency responders in rural areas to continually improve the preparedness efforts with regard to school safety through planning, preparedness, increased communication, and coordination of resources when a response is necessary.

Format
Pilot #3 of this course will be offered on the campus of NorthWest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville, Arkansas, in a classroom-based format to promote instructor and audience interaction. Peers from member RDPC institutions will be present to facilitate discussion and interaction, as well as offer guidance from DHS's perspective.
