| Incident Management for Public Health |

This course will provide an in-depth review of the implementation of Incident Command System (ICS) into emergency management operations of public health departments and other agencies in Ohio. The course has been developed in accordance with ODH guidelines and will lay the foundation for a common Public Health approach to incident command.
Areas receiving special attention in the course include:
How to Implement ICS.
NIMS – What it means to you.
Concepts of Unified and Area Command (with examples).
Explaining the transition to Unified and Area Command along with discussing who should fill key roles.
The role of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Multi-Agency Coordinating Entity (MCE).
The role of EMA in a public health incident.
Medical Surge Capacity & Capability.
