In the post-9/11 reality, regulations require that all employees receive security training. In the maritime world, the term "employee" includes not only full-time workers but also part-time workers, as well as long-term contractors.

This course satisfies the requirements of 33 CFR 105.215. Topics include: MARSEC levels; emergency procedures and contingency plans; recognition and detection of dangerous substances and devices; current security threats and patterns; techniques used to circumvent security measures.
