Baton-Mace
This course is designed to provide agency heads the ability to get their personnel certified in handcuffing, prisoner control, chemical mace, and collapsible baton.

The course will enhance the officer’s survival skills. The handcuffing instruction will instruct in the touch and cuff handcuffing technique and the P.P.C.T. speed cuffing technique. Prisoner control instruction will cover pressure point control tactics, basic strikes, and basic prisoner control tactics. Baton instruction will cover strikes and basic control holds. Chemical mace instruction will familiarize the student with the chemical mace and its use, including decontamination of a suspect after he or she has been sprayed. This course will enhance the student’s skill and working knowledge through training of the Action-Response Use of Force Continuum. The instructed techniques have been tested tactically, medically, and legally.
