This 4-hour course is designed specifically with the First Receiver in mind. It provides you with the skills necessary to determine what personal protective equipment and respiratory protection is required and how to put it on. Our knowledgeable instructors will discuss the levels of protection, how PPE protects you and how chemical and biological agents attack it, permeation rates and how they affect your safety, proper respiratory protection, benefits and limitations of various types of PPE and respiratory protection, and discussion of your donning and doffing procedures. Hands-on exercises involving donning and doffing the PPE and the respiratory protection equipment will provide you with first-hand experience in using the equipment.
